It's a shame because I really, really liked Kokoroko previous EPs and I was eagerly waiting for this LP but I find it underwhelming. Overall is a good album but not a great one - it feels forgettable. Also the production is weird, as if it is too polished? I believe that the album doesn't have a precise target or direction, it's trying to be too many things at the same time and the result suffers from it. The horns were the best part of their previous recordings, on this LP they don't get enough love in my opinion - both production wise and arrangement wise, they can sound pretty disjointed, not tight enough. As the drums and the bass do on some songs. I guess it's mostly that I don't like the production. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk, anyway.
